What is ISF?

One Hope partners with International Student Fellowship (ISF), a ministry that is supported by multiple local churches working together to serve international students at Kennesaw State University (KSU)!

ISF’s mission is to serve the physical, mental, and spiritual needs of international students. Weekly gatherings take place on Friday nights along with special activities. To help new students get settled, ISF helps with airport rides, move-in assistance, conversation partners, and more.

With this holistic approach, ISF and its collaborating churches create a support network that goes beyond the confines of a traditional ministry.

Typical Fridays at ISF

Meal: ISF begins with a meal together which leads to meaningful conversations and connections.

Games: After the meal, we enjoy some friendly competition! This provides an opportunity for students to unwind, have fun, and gain friendships.

Conversation: Typically we have a time of guided conversation in small groups. This encourages students to think deeper about the meaning of life, social issues, and spiritual topics.

Outside of ISF

Beyond the Friday meetings, ISF volunteers are dedicated to offering support, mentorship, spiritual guidance, and being a source to ask questions to for students. Volunteers have many opportunities to meet with students outside of regular ISF events. Students often join volunteers for family gatherings, holidays, sporting events, church services, meals, and more!

ISF strives to create a welcoming environment that transcends cultural boundaries, offering a home away from home for international students on their academic journey. If you or your church would like to participate in this ministry by volunteering at ISF, sponsoring a meal, or becoming a monthly financial partner, please contact Shaoen Wu using the form below.
