OUR ROOTS
Our primary goal as a church is to
proclaim the gospel message of Jesus Christ.
We are not ashamed of the name Baptist or the Biblical beliefs that historical Baptists have defended. We are ashamed of how some Baptist have distorted Biblical truths or have applied Biblical truths in the wrong way in the past. Since “perception is reality” to many people when they think of “Baptists”, we will endeavor to emphasize the Messiah and the message of our church first and foremost. For this reason, we refer to our church simply as One Hope Church rather than One Hope Baptist Church. In addition to emphasizing the Messiah and message of our church, we will endeavor to teach the Biblical principles that have become known as the Baptist distinctives. There are many Bible churches, community churches, and non-denominational churches that are Baptistic in their beliefs. We appreciate these churches and will pursue fellowship with likeminded churches as the Lord leads.

Our Name
Since One Hope Church was started on this historical foundation, the complete and legal name of the church is One Hope Church, A Baptist Congregation, Inc.
Membership
Although One Hope Church is a Baptist church as defined by its official name and by its beliefs, this does not mean that everyone who will join One Hope Church must agree with all of the Baptist beliefs. For example, an individual may join the church who has different views on the end times or church polity.
